Choose an aquamarine bracelet by the appearance you enjoy, the material information you can check and the fit of the actual strand. A pale or deep blue color, a clear-looking bead and a price tag cannot authenticate the material or establish every treatment.

What color should aquamarine be?

GIA describes aquamarine as the green-blue to blue variety of beryl, usually with a light, pastel appearance.

Our finished strand is pale sea-blue with soft clouding. Look across several beads for the mix of color and clearer or cloudier areas you enjoy. Lighting can shift the blue you see, so consider the appearance of the whole strand.

For soft blue with a bold round-bead profile, view our 16mm aquamarine bracelet and check its reference fit.

Does natural aquamarine mean untreated aquamarine?

No. Natural describes the material’s origin; treatment describes what was done to it. GIA notes that heating can make aquamarine look bluer. Our bracelet is not dyed or heated.

When comparing listings, look for the material name and treatment statement for the actual bracelet, then compare its color, visible detail and fit. GIA’s aquamarine care reference also helps you match cleaning guidance to treatment information.

Is “AAA aquamarine” a standard grade?

No. GIA explains that aquamarine has no standard quality-grading scale. A company may use AAA, AA or A to describe its own quality range.

Ask what the seller’s letters mean, then compare the whole strand: color, clarity, bead size, treatment information and fit. The same letters on two shops’ listings do not establish equal quality or explain a price difference.

A GIA identification report describes the material and any detectable treatments; it does not assign an AAA grade.

A bold 16mm strand, or a finer aquamarine design?

Choose our finished 16mm strand for a substantial pale-blue accent. Picture the beads beside your usual watch or sleeve, then check this strand’s fit below.

Love aquamarine but prefer smaller beads? Open Build it yourself, choose your bead diameter and wrist setting, then find Aquamarine. Explore the Pale blue or Blue / white options and arrange your strand. Complete the design to review its own current quote before ordering.

Use the bead-size guide to compare scale. Bead diameter describes each bead; your wrist measurement helps you choose the fit.

The bead scale

16mm is the nominal diameter. It helps you picture the size of each bead, not the space inside a complete bracelet.

The reference fit

About 14cm is a photo-based estimate of inner circumference. It is not a measured wrist or a guaranteed measurement for every future strand or batch.

Measure the wrist where you plan to wear it and allow for your preferred fit. If the reference size seems too small, do not assume stretching the cord will resolve the uncertainty. Ask about this 16mm option before ordering, or consider a personal design with the wearer's own size.

The 12-bead record belongs to the original reference sample. Use the listed fit information and your own wrist measurement. Natural bead sizes and batches vary.

How should I care for the bracelet?

GIA gives aquamarine a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8, while still advising protection from scratches and hard knocks. Its color is generally stable in light, but heat should be avoided. These mineral properties do not describe the durability of an elastic cord.

For our strand, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Remove it before showering, swimming or activities likely to strike the beads or snag the cord. Avoid household chemicals and extreme heat, and store it so other jewelry does not rub against it.

GIA's gemstone-cleaning guidance depends on features such as fractures, liquid inclusions and filling. For the whole elastic strand, use a soft, dry cloth and avoid soaking or cleaning machines. Use the bracelet care guide or ask us about cleaning the piece you have.

What if I want the bracelet to begin with something personal?

A generous sea-blue strand can mark a conversation you want to have, a new beginning or a gift with a calm, open-hearted message. Aquamarine carries traditional associations with serenity, courage and clear communication; choose the meaning that belongs with your own story.

In Need, describe the person, what matters now and any material preferences in your own words. Include several needs if that reflects your situation. The actual result shows the chosen beads, explanation and quote; share your preference for aquamarine, then review the returned stones and bead size. To choose every bead, use Builder. Birth begins with your own birth details, and Builder lets you arrange the beads yourself. This finished bracelet's $100 USD price is separate from your design's quote.

If you are still exploring, look at lapis lazuli's blue and golden detail, or consider kunzite's pale pink-lilac. They are different materials with their own care and product information.
