Obsidian is a traditional stone of protection and grounding, and the crescent moon has long marked new beginnings and the turning of cycles. In the light, this small crescent shows a soft silver sheen across the black.

The story

Obsidian is volcanic glass, lava that cooled so quickly it never formed crystals. Its silver sheen comes from tiny gas bubbles caught in the glass as it set, which is why it only shows when light falls across it.

Wear it on a simple cord.

Hang it from a thin cord or chain that fits the hole. Take it off before swimming or the gym, and store it apart from harder stones.
