For keeping your favorite pocket stones together. An oval selenite dish.
One place for the stones you carry.
Selenite is a soft white form of gypsum with fibrous bands that glow a little when light passes through. This dish is a long oval with a shallow center, wide enough to keep a handful of pocket stones together in one place.
The story
Gypsum is the reference mineral for number two on the Mohs hardness scale, softer than a fingernail. That simple scratch test gave mineral collectors a shared way to compare stones, and explains why gypsum objects are handled with particular care.
Where it lives
Set it on a dry shelf or nightstand and drop your pocket stones in it when you get home. Keep it dry, since water can mark selenite. Stones aren't included.
