In crystal practice, clear quartz is the stone of clarity and focused intention, and a pyramid draws the eye up to a single point. Inside, a few fine veils and flecks catch the light differently from each side.

The story

Our word crystal comes from the Greek krystallos, meaning ice. The Roman writer Pliny the Elder recorded the old belief that clear quartz was ice frozen so hard it could never melt.
