For a shelf that marks a new chapter. Purple-and-white carved wings on a slim metal butterfly stand.
Let a new chapter have its own keepsake.
Butterflies are often used as symbols of change, while amethyst carries an association with calm in crystal practice. White chevrons cross the purple wings, and carved grooves follow their scalloped edges.
The story
In the nineteenth century the Roman gem carver Luigi Rosi cut a small onyx cameo of Psyche, the figure Greek myth pairs with butterfly wings. The cameo is now kept at The Met.
