Studio Notes / Choosing a quartz bracelet

Warm color, layered detail

Flower quartz.
Red or orange?

A deeper rust-red accent or a warmer amber-orange look? Start with the color you would wear beside a cream knit, denim or warm-metal jewelry. Compare our 8mm strands, then explore a larger golden-brown option.

Picture the bracelet with an outfit you already love. Against cream or pale denim, red brings a deeper accent; orange adds a softer amber warmth. Look at the color across the whole strand, then enjoy the different patches and clearer spaces within each bead.

Which warm color would you reach for?

Choose red if you like richer, rust-red patches with clear areas between them. Choose orange if amber tones and softer, cloud-like detail catch your eye. Both have a finer 8mm bead profile, so let the overall color guide this choice.

For a quieter outfit, let one warm strand be the detail. If you already wear several colors, choose the red or orange that echoes a color you enjoy. The patches vary across the beads, giving the complete bracelet its layered appearance.

Prefer a larger golden-brown accent?

Our Gold Foil Quartz selection pairs golden-brown patches with clearer areas in approximately 13mm beads. Choose this direction when you want the bracelet to be a more noticeable part of the outfit.

Prefer fine golden threads to broader patches? Explore golden rutilated quartz for that different visual detail.

Choose the bead scale, then check the fit

The red and orange strands offer a finer 8mm profile; the golden-brown option has larger, approximately 13mm beads. Bead diameter and bracelet fit are separate choices. Measure the wrist where the bracelet will sit, then compare it with the chosen product's current sizing.

For the larger option, check the gold foil bracelet’s own sizing. Ask us about fit if you would like help choosing a strand with the room you prefer.

Looking for a softer pink?

Explore our strawberry-quartz options if a softer pink is closer to what you wear. Stay with red or orange flower quartz when you want more visible patch-like detail and a warmer red or amber palette.

Care for the whole bracelet

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Take the bracelet off before showering, swimming or activities that could strike the beads or snag the elastic. Store it separately from jewelry that could rub against it, away from harsh cleaners and extreme heat.

Keep the complete strand dry during care and cleansing. Our bracelet care guide covers the routine for both the beads and elastic cord.

Make the color idea your own

For a personal design, tell Need what matters to you and describe the appearance you enjoy: deeper red patches, amber warmth or a little clear space between colors. Review the selected stones, explanation and current quote in your result. Choose Builder to arrange individual beads, or Birth to begin with your birth details.

About the names

Flower quartz is the trade name used for the patch-like detail in these selections. In our Gold Foil Quartz selection, “Gold Foil” refers to the golden-brown pattern.
