For the rings and earrings you take off at the end of the day. An agate slice, 6–8 cm.
A small stone home for everyday jewelry.
Agate forms in slow layers, which is why a slice shows bands of color from the edge to the center. In crystal tradition it's linked with balance and steadiness, a good match for the pieces you wear every day. This one has a gray-brown edge and a pale center.
The story
The ancient writer Theophrastus connected agate with the river Achates in Sicily. His account made a river part of the stone’s name story, long before collectors began comparing the bands in polished slices.
Where it lives
Set it on your dresser and drop your rings and earrings there at night, so you know exactly where they are in the morning.
