For the wealth corner of a room. A gem tree with colored chip branches on a rainbow base.
A small gem tree for the wealth corner.
Gem trees grew out of Chinese decorative art and are used in feng shui, where a tree of small stones stands for growth and abundance. This one has copper-color wire branches hung with small chips in many colors, on a rainbow resin base.
The story
Around 1900, jewelers made flower studies so carefully observed that even their vases appeared to hold water. In one surviving example, that clear “water” is a solid piece of rock crystal, turning a botanical arrangement into a lasting illusion.
Where it lives
Set it in the far left corner of a room as you walk in, the spot many feng shui followers tie to wealth, or on a desk or shelf. It's a cheerful gift for a new business.
