Where this stone comes from

Something hit the Sahara 28 million years ago.
This is what was left.

3,600°F the temperature that turned sand into glass

28 million years ago, a cosmic impact event over the Sahara Desert generated temperatures thousands of degrees hot — intense enough to melt the silica sand into glass. What remained, scattered across the Libya-Egypt border, is what we now call Libyan Desert Glass. Scientists are still debating the exact mechanism. What they agree on: nothing from this Earth caused it.

This is the only deposit in the world. King Tutankhamun had a Libyan Desert Glass scarab carved into his breastplate — confirmed by the Egyptian Museum. The ancient Egyptians believed it had fallen from the sky and carried divine solar energy. They weren’t wrong about where it came from.

Each piece is a fragment of that original glass field — lightly polished, with its natural shape and translucence intact. No two are the same silhouette. The pale yellow-green color is what it actually looks like when light passes through it.

Fire Element · Solar Energy · Clarity

“It came from somewhere beyond this world. That’s not metaphor. That’s just what happened.”

In Chinese metaphysics, the Fire element governs clarity, confidence, and the kind of energy that other people feel when you walk into a room. Libyan Desert Glass — formed in the most extreme heat imaginable — has been associated with fire energy across cultures for thousands of years.

Most crystals form slowly over millions of years underground. This one was created in an instant. There’s a difference in the energy people say they feel from it — something immediate, rather than accumulated.

You don’t need to believe in any of it. But if wearing something with that kind of origin means something to you — this is that thing.

Stone: Libyan Desert Glass (natural impact glass, 98% silica) · Surface: lightly polished, natural shape retained · Setting: 14k gold-fill wire · Chain: 14k gold-fill snake chain, 18″ · Stone size: approx. 25–40mm — natural variations in shape and translucence, each piece is unique

Everything has a reason.

Nothing in the box is filler. Each item was chosen to support the pendant’s energy.

The Pendant

Raw Libyan Desert Glass in a 14k gold-fill wire setting. Irregular shape — no two pieces are identical.

Gold-Fill Chain

18-inch snake chain in 14k gold-fill. Matches the wire setting. Strong enough for daily wear.

White Quartz Chips

A small pouch of natural white quartz. Place them where you keep the pendant when you’re not wearing it.

White Sage Bundle

Pass the pendant through the smoke before wearing. A simple way to clear and set intention.

Questions

Yes. Libyan Desert Glass is a naturally occurring impact glass formed approximately 28 million years ago by a cosmic impact event over the Sahara Desert. The extreme heat fused the silica sand into glass. Its extraterrestrial origin is recognized by geologists worldwide — and the scarab in Tutankhamun’s breastplate was confirmed as Libyan Desert Glass by the Egyptian Museum in 1996. This is not lab-created and not simulated.
The stone is lightly polished to smooth the surface — but the shape is kept entirely natural, not cut or shaped. The irregular silhouette, the translucence, the natural variations in color are all untouched. Each piece has its own shape.
Both use the same Libyan Desert Glass stone. The Raw Wire Frame uses a minimal open-wire setting that lets the stone show clearly. The Tree of Life setting wraps the stone in an intricate wire pattern in the shape of a tree — a traditional symbol of growth and grounding across many cultures. The stone is the same; the setting is different.
Gold-fill has a thick layer of 14k gold bonded to a base metal core — significantly more durable than gold-plated. It won’t flake or wear off with normal daily wear. Unlike solid gold, it’s accessible; unlike plated, it lasts.
Yes. Everything arrives in a gift box — pendant, chain, quartz chips, and sage. No extra wrapping needed.
All minerals contain trace amounts of naturally occurring radioactive material — the same background radiation as granite countertops or garden soil. Libyan Desert Glass is a silica glass, not a heavy metal or uranium ore. The levels are well within safe limits for jewelry and daily wear.
