I’m in Tutankhamun’s funerary mask; Renaissance painters crushed me into ultramarine. I’m a rock, not a single mineral — deep-blue lazurite shot through with gold pyrite. I’m softer than quartz, so keep me away from harder jewellery and wipe me dry. People wear me when they mean to say the true thing out loud.

The blue is lazurite; the gold is pyrite, grown in, not painted on. No two flecks land the same way — every bead reads a little differently, and that’s the proof it came out of the ground.
A stone bracelet shouldn’t live in a drawer. The 8mm beads sit light on the wrist — you forget them until the pyrite finds a lamp and glints. A Water stone: deep water, not rapids.
